To make the holiday season even more special, The Shires Destination Marketing Organization (DMO) has launched The Official Holiday Calendar of The Shires. This calendar platform aims to promote and showcase the diverse range of events happening in the region between Thanksgiving and New Years. Whether it's a holiday-themed sale, a community gathering, or a special performance, the calendar is the go-to resource for all things festive.
The Official Holiday Calendar encourages patrons to explore, shop, savor, create, and revel in quality family time throughout the region. Local businesses, nonprofits, and community members across the region are warmly encouraged to contribute to this festive calendar by uploading their events. The "Holidays in The Shires" campaign is committed to promoting these events and driving digital viewers to the calendar. Already, the calendar boasts a delightful array of events, including Thanksgiving dinners, delectable baked goods from area restaurants, kids' activities at cultural institutions, holiday craft fairs, tree lightings, lighted parades, and seasonal sales, among others. The objective is clear—to spread the word in a straightforward and accessible manner, ensuring maximum participation.
